Eye Street Software is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team supporting the web efforts of a major federal agency in NW Washington, DC (near American University). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to providing information to the public concerning issues of national importance.
The incumbent will expertly produce, edit, organize and publish Web content in support of multiple customer websites. He/She will be part of a high-functioning team responsible for site information architecture, web coding and design efforts. Flexibility will be required as the work environment is fast-paced, simultaneously balancing multiple routine web publishing tasks with larger content development/re-structuring projects. There will be direct client support on Web projects. Success in this position requires a confident and self-directed individual with excellent judgment and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage details in order to meet deadlines.

Required Skills
* A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
* Minimum 3 years experience in Web production and editing
* Highly proficient in information architecture, content strategy, ability to analyze/re-structure content for web use
* Experience applying current styles, practices, and procedures related to effective web communications
* Solid HTML skills and experience with Web development processes and technologies including Adobe/Macromedia tools
* Excellent English writing and editing skills and a firm grasp of proper grammar
* Strong problem solving skills and analytical capabilities
* Efficient work habits and outstanding organizational skills
* High proficiency with MS Office applications
Beneficial Skills and Experience
* Understanding of Section 508 Accessibility and W3C standards
* Experience using Web Content Management Systems
* Experience applying CSS, JavaScript, Flash, AJAX technologies
* Experience in user interface design, usability methodology, platform and browser capabilities, and web design constraints
* Experience using MS Visio or other flow-charting applications
* Public Affairs or Public Relations experience
